Straight outta Conklin..(Updated 10/22)

So. I'm moving. Really, I will be moving. Eventually. As in selling my house and leaving the area. In contemplating this move I came across the Ottawa Country Register of Deeds webpage. Seems there's these taxes associated with the sale of land.

In any case, I immediately took note that foreclosure numbers for the county are provided right there on the front page. I was nice enough to put the numbers in a graphical format.

I graduated high school in the time immediately preceeding the start of this graph. What I read into this picture is that times are and continue to be tough in West Michigan.

Update: Year to Date there have been 635 reported foreclosures, if the trend maintains the average foreclosures will be up 30% over 2006. Mind you that August was up at 102.
